I felt like this is a scam. I was referred for talk therapy. I spoke with someone who is not a Dr at the end of the day for my first appt and had been looking forward to it. They wanted to go over my meds and I understand that and wanted a quick overview of my life. (Less than a 30 min appt) In this time this person tells me she wants to charge me $250 a visit. Can’t even get in touch with them to schedule an appointment for my son. We have been trying for over 2 months to get him in. There is no live person to speak with. I work in a laboratory and cannot answer my phone. They always call me back when I am in lab. Terrible customer service!! We have wasted over 2 months when we should have just tried a facility that actually cares

Hi, I was referred to Madison Avenue through the KCVA Hospital about 2 years ago. My first impression was that for a mental health clinic it was far from welcoming. In fact, it was just the opposite of what you would want when seeking help. There was no receptionist, there were no windows, there was no "life", you just walked in the outside door and through another door to find the waiting room, which was dimly lit with dark walls. I have enjoyed the services through my EAP. It was a little difficult getting scheduled because I didn't know to leave my name, DOB, referred through EAP, and reason for appointment to get a call back.
