Extremely disappointed with DR Horton at Madeline Farm, New Bern, NC. The construction quality is far below what should be expected for a new home at this price point. The work appears rushed, with large gaps around door frames, uneven and poorly installed trim, and walls and rooms that are visibly out of square. These are basic construction issues that should never pass quality control. For the amount paid, buyers should not have to inspect and push for corrections on such obvious defects. DO NOT deal with Wild. We purchased a home in West New Bern while she was transitioning out, and unfortunately communication was a major issue. Several important details, such as how to obtain our mailbox keys, were not clearly explained. When we followed up, her responses often felt dismissive or unhelpful, which added unnecessary frustration to the process. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS, I WOULD. We’ve had nothing but problems with our new home. The most serious issue is mold in our master shower. We reached out to our builder and were told to contact the warranty line—our case was eventually closed without any resolution. Meanwhile, my family and I have been feeling sick, and no one seems to care or take responsibility.
