We stopped at Madeline 1982 Bakery & Restaurant and honestly, the food arrived so fast I barely had time to get comfortable. Maybe 5 minutes! I had them make me a seasonal pumpkin latte, and it was very good — definitely tasted like fall had officially arrived. We also had the Eggs Benedict and a mushroom quiche. This restaurant/bakery was a delightful and unexpected treat. I ordered the broccoli, ham quiche and it was less creamy than a quiche Lorraine and I thought much better. I got a wonderful lesson on baking baguettes from the very kind and knowledgeable owner, Madee! Thank you so much! The bakery goods are outstanding…especially the croissants! Give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed!
Got there, had to wait 15 minutes to take order. Asked for a baguette, waitress told me there are no baguettes in stock, in a French bakery? Whatever… i ended up ordering two pastries. Somehow my wife did get a baguette, and there were 20 baguettes available up front…. my pastries never arrived and were forgotten in the kitchen. Wife’s baguette was clearly microwaved, never seen such a soggy bread in my life.
