I initially really liked Madden's because of the huge selection and low prices. But I've discovered that they are more about quantity and than quality (which is probably why they can offer their plants and trees at such low prices). I still go to them while I've gotten some great deals on annuals as well as knockout roses and evergreens. In terms of service, I had one young man last summer who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful but when he wasn't there the service was so-so. This place is the most amazing nursery in the world! They have almost anything you can think of including GREAT prices! Every one should go there, and for those who do, they always come home happy with what they want! If you have not gone there yet, you HAVE TO!!!!

Neither the client nor the client review is delusional. Feedback given about this business is right on point, unfortunately... The downed economy has certainly separated consumer-friendly and smart businesses from the rest. Good thing is, so many wise businesses are still so happy to accept hard-earned consumer dollars that they're outperforming and outselling what are proving to be lesser-quality businesses. So much supply...much more selective demand...it's a good thing for wise and selective consumers.

You get what you pay for. Buyer beware. At first glance they have a great selection that nobody else has and great prices. However, the plants they grow tend to be of low quality. They also cheat on certain things. For example, perennials marked as "2 gallon" are usually only half filled with soil! Service used to be pretty good a couple of years ago but is now rude and hurried.
