My engine light came on, so I ignorantly dropped my car off for them to have a look and tell me what was wrong. (without asking for a quote). Later that day, they called me up and said it was the engine sensor light, and it will be $300 !! Oh.. and if you want it to actually be fixed, that's another $150... Literally all they did was run a quick diagnostic. I wouldn't mind paying some money.. but $300 is a straight rip off. A few months later, I had my entire car serviced for $300 at a seperate place. Steer clear of this mechanic — pun intended. Would of been no stars, but that would be petty 🤔 I took my car in after Googling a mechanic near me and calling ahead to ask if they could run a diagnostic on an electrical issue. Website stated “Free Quotes” (see attached screenshot from their website)They said to bring it in and they’d identify the problem and quote me. Ten minutes after drop-off, they diagnosed a faulty alternator and quoted $1650 — $800 for the part, $850 for labour. No warning of any fee for the diagnosis. ... read more
