My favorite little neighbourhood restaurant/bar – I went there with a few friends the other day and had a total blast. I love the concept of Macondo..there is a permanent atmosphere of celebration there. The same chef as Rayuela . I was not disapppointed by the food. Great crazy drink selection as well. There is a room in the back with cool lighting and ivy - great place to have a party there. The kitchen is open - so you can be entertained by the activities of the chef and kitchen staff. Macondo is best described as you fav... read more

Very disappointed – I was very excited to try this new restaurant, but unfortunately was extremely disappointed. We asked to sit in the back, but it was full. The food was very average. We ordered the lamb tacos, vegetarian arepas (completely tasteless), patatas brava -- but the rest of our order was forgotten... read more
WOW You have to check this place out – I honestly could not believe how amazing everything was. I walked into this place off the street and instantly felt like I left Manhattan. The waiter told me that my first two choices werent on the menu which I was bummed out about...at first. I ordered the Lamb tacos, Arepa willianco, and a ceviche that I cant remember the name of instead. My boyfriend let the waiter decide what to get him. (Yucca fries, Buenos Aires coca and pork tacos) Everything came as it was made...It was like a p... read more
First week jitters – I've never been moved to write a review, but Macondo should be avoided at least for now. Our waitress came by 3 times to take our orders, and when she did it was wrong each time. The food was ok. Our table ordered the Columbian flat bread but the chorizo failed to deliver. Their 'plaintain' appetizer tasted more like chick peas. Junior Merino is the mixologist but the drinks were tasteless. Our group had to send back a few drinks because they were horrible. Perhaps in a few months this place will get it ... read more
