I’m so impressed with Sean MacNeela and MacNeela’s Tree Service! I work out of a commercial building in Eastowne Office Park in Chapel Hill. We had some trees hanging over the building and in some cases were touching it. He and his crew came out when they said they would and did a beautiful job without damaging the building or the HVAC units. Their clean up was excellent. The fee was very reasonable. The result looks nice! I highly recommend MacNeela’s tree service and would use them again.

I am not contradicting all the positive reviews, however, BEWARE if you just looking for tree trimming. MacNeela's came to the commercial property where I work. They were supposed to do tree trimming, but rather than trimming the branches back that had grown to close to the building, they took the branches with the entire limbs of the trees. (I can see how this was much more convenient as they could just drag away the limbs and put them into their big machines.) Sean is fantastic. He was doing some work for a neighbor and I had an extreme significant amount of debris on my property. I walked over, asked him for a quote and he gave me an extremely fair quote to remove all of it. He came over a couple days later, knocked it out before lunch, and was able to do it all without messing up any of my grass 🏆. 10/10 would work with again.

I had a few older old trees needing removal but was worried about younger growth nearby what with heavy equipment and all - Sean and his team are experts. My lot is safe and my younger trees were protected - I recommend this team for any tree service you might need!

Sean and team removed 2 large trees and one small. One large one was hanging over our house near our neighbors driveway. I have not experienced such a professional service on any home repairs etc in about 30 years. I'll rate the job as perfection - from each tree cut and haul away to the street for grinding to yard clean up including blowing the leaves off the grass. I would not hesitate to use their service for any tree removal. We have already recommended them to our neighbor!
