A fantastic country pub and a great lunch stop! We stopped at the Maclean Hotel for lunch on Tuesday which was not far of a highway detour, randomly our kids were keen on pizza, and we were pleasantly surprised by just how good it was! I absolutely love the vintage charm and character of this place! The shared bathrooms and showers are convenient and well-suited to the accommodation, while the communal area provides a comfortable space to relax, unwind, or enjoy a meal. One of the biggest advantages is the Maclean Hotel’s pub downstairs, making it incredibly convenient to grab a drink or enjoy a meal without having to go far, it’s a charming and practical place to stay, with a lovely atmosphere and plenty of convenience to enjoy the river view.

Steak, vegetables plus mashed potatoes and pepper sauce tonight. Take away. Excellent meal. $20. I can't even buy that quality of steak from a local butcher. Let alone cook, then veggies, mashed potatoes and sauce. Well done chef and whole kitchen team. I find myself eating there 2-3 nights a week. Cheaper than cooking. The roasts on a Sunday night are fantastic as well. Highly recommended.
