Mackert Automotive is fair, honest and great service Had a 70K service done on a Lexus RX 300. Mackert explained what was going to be checked, and that this particular service interval, the inspection is fairly simple. Mackert was completely honest about what was going to be done, and as importantly, charged a fair price for the work being done. Honest Affordable Quality Service I was referred by my coworkers who knew the owner & have taken their car before. As a single woman after being ripped off as a student at 2 other places in the past (Bucky's & Walts in Tacoma) I learned that you should never go to an auto shop unless you are referred by people you trust.
Mackert is s diamond in the rough! I had my truck worked on at Mackert for the first time last month and it was a great experience! It just means more to me because in the recent past I have personally had some rather bad experiences with shops (KCAR) and thought all shops were lesser of all evils for the most part. Trustworthy! Being from out of the area, it's tough to find an auto shop that you trust. When Walts (or something like that?) in Gig Harbor couldn't fix my problem they sent me to Mackert. They were good, nice people and I feel like they gave me a fair price and didn't give me any BS. I would definitely go back to them.
Fair prices, pleasant people, quality work I had my Honda 30K service, the dealer wanted $300, other local shops wanted $225-$250. I opted not to change my cabin air filter and it cost me $25!!! They rotate tires and inspect systems at no cost.
