Our 11 year old had a suspected broken bone and the centre turned us away, without even a five minute consultation with a nurse. Very disappointing. Their advice - drive 2 hours to Queenstown or Wanaka, and maybe they will see you. Astonishing. Unbelievable to receive the same response from both clinics in the town. Yes, busy, but not even a cursory look at a child in severe pain? We were shocked, as we had hoped previous reviews were just unlucky visitors.
I had such a positive experience at this GP clinic. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by Zippy at reception, who was incredibly friendly, helpful, and made the whole process feel smooth and stress-free. Wanted to thank the receptionist and Dr Tim Gardner for squeezing in a last minute appointment and showing emphathy to their patients Dropped by 4.15 before they closed at 5pm due to a last minute decision, and they took into account my circumstances and offered to squeeze in an appointment for me. Thank you to Tracy (nurse) & Ziggy (reception) for helping me through a difficult time when I presented at the centre as an overseas traveller without an appointment but in discomfort from multiple sandfly bites some of which were infected. They squeezed me in and stayed back after hours and ensured my bites were bandaged so I could continue on my travels 🤗
