I have stayed on their beach front tenting sites many times. This year I was pleasantly surprised to see they increased the size of the sites. The extra space made it much more enjoyable. The warm showers and clean bathrooms are excellent. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Although the restaurant and live music venue was under construction, we have really enjoyed this feature in previous years.

We stayed in a one bedroom cabin at the McKenzie Beach resort, which is only a few steps walk from the beautiful McKenzie Beach, a short drive from town (10 mins) and short walk/drive away from the Tacofino food truck (3 mins drive, 7 mins walk). The cabin was decorated well and with everything you need in terms of kitchenware as well as some basic such as salt, pepper oil and rhino coffee provided. The location was the highlight. We stayed 3 nights in a one bedroom cabin and it was very nice. Great beach for walking and wading in the calmer waves than other beaches on the coast. Be prepared for wet, sunny, windy, calm weather sometimes all in day. Keeps it interesting. The couch in cabin is really low and not very comfortable but everything else was good.
