We purchased a new Stihl battery operated hedge trimmer at Mackay outdoor power centre, and after only 10 months it stopped working. Took it in as it had a 2 year warranty but they found reasons and blamed us for the fault and would not repair it. Would not even discuss problem with us so i had no choice but to deal direct with Stihl head office, even they said they couldn`t deal with Power Outdoor centre because they were very uncooperative. They have very good quality heavy duty brands and great back up service
Started out pretty good with, what I thought at the time, open and honest communication. I brought my father in law’s chainsaw to be repair. After 2 or 3 weeks they got to it and found that it would cost about $220 to repair, also suggesting to buy a new one instead. But as it wasn’t mine at that price I wanted it fixed. After a long wait for parts (not their fault) it was handed back to me “fixed”. Took it home and after a couple of weeks I went to use it. Excellent service, tidy shop. Very happy with my purchase. Was a 5 star review until now. Only had the Ferris mower for a month, pully on drive belt failed, I understand that this was the manufacturer's fault. I called Mackay outdoor power centre and they said that they would come out to my place and pick it up, fix it and then bring it back out to me. I thought to myself, that's great service, no mention to me that it was going to be an 80 dollar charge each way. I could understand the charge if the mower was 6 months old b... read more
