Rooms were comfortable. Price was affordable. Upgrading the gardens when we were there. Central to everything. Would stay there again. Check this place out if you are in Mackay.

Great location and reasonably serviced rooms but it loses stars purely because the wifi is horrendous which is well within the control of management simply adding more network points. Mobile reception is also quite poor but this isn't management's fault. If you're travelling for business and need to work and require a stable and dependable network connection, give this place a miss. It was not worth it. I was also only given one key which has to be inserted for power. I do not understand why I was not given a second one.

While the location was pretty good, everything else about the hotel was extremely poor. The worst of which was several thefts occurring during my brief two night stay at the hotel with three separate rooms being robbed and this was only what I was aware of. I only used the room to sleep and leave my belongings and never touched the back door, however after the theft occurred I checked the back door which was left unlocked from the beginning of our stay. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED. I was apart of a group that had two units that stayed here. The back sliding door was left unlocked either by the cleaners or reception. We unfortunately didn’t check and when we returned our units had been turned upside down allot of valuables stolen. We talked to reception in the morning and they didn’t want to know anything about it. Checking previous reviews it seems to be a regular occurrence at the establishment.
