I was told on the phone that they can cater to a specialized diet(celiac). There were a few days that I'd starve, only consuming milk and water. The air conditioners, bathrooms, and kitchen were full of black mold. I couldn't stop sneezing. I was pulled into the office and was blamed for smoking in the house. You'd think after one month that they'd of figured out that I don't smoke. The pharmacy they use completely screwed up the pills I take at certain times. When I got to Mackay Manor I was very scared. The staff was very welcoming though. The atmosphere around was nice and it was appealing to the eye. The program is hard work. That being said, that is how you know it's working. The material was hugely helpful to me in becoming a stronger, healthier and independent person. Mackay Manor gets a solid 5 from me because the staff helped me to start to discover myself in a way I never could before. Thank you

Was there for roughly three weeks in 1923. A bad experience, Most of staff are x-treated patients who still carry the stigma of addicts. They are ruthless , unemotional, demanding, secretive, and inconsistent. I was approached by a gay man in the manor for drug abuse whose room mate planted drugs to trap him. I immediately took him to staff. My reward! They tore apart my room and luggage. I have never done drugs. A terrible cold environment with pitiful classes the majority can no relate to.
