Unfortunately this law firm is far from professional. The lack of communication from all parties at the firm is embarrassing. I personally would choose another law firm.
We retained Megan MacGillivray for a family court matter after meeting with her in early 2026 and paid the retainer. When it came time to get anything done it was impossible to get a response through phone calls and email. After a more than two months and no movement on our matter, we made additional attempts to speak to her and get clarification but were repeatedly stone walled by the receptionist. Hind sight is 20/20 and my choice in trusting this firm was a mistake. They only do the most basic of closing but the price is not basic. I’m looking for my next property to buy and I won’t make the mistake of using Megan or this firm twice. Do not expect them to help you if you have ANY issues at all. You are on your own. They are fairly good until you pay them. Communication during and after could use a lot of improvement and Lord help you if you need them after the closing of your house… good luck.
