I went to Maccabee Arms today. I was in a conversation with Gerry a Salesperson who is personable. I mentioned that I have a Kahr PM9 and from the back of the small shop came a disparaging remark about the Kahr. I then mentioned in my conversation with Gerry that I like 1911's and ZING another disparaging remark from the back of the shop. Thirdly, and by this time, the Heckler had moved in close proximity to the Counter where Gerry and I were talking. I asked Gerry, "Do you have any Gemtech flash hiders?", stating that I ne... read more
Sold me the wrong weapon. Had wrong info on shotgun and would not take responsibility for it. Owner is very rude and disrespectful. Check my full review on yelp and Google for full story.
As a long time No . Nevada resident I have been to many gun shops. Beware of this one. The staff is arrogant and have zero integrity. Took my gun to them. When I got it back I discovered they had trashed my Hogue grips. The grips are not expensive, it's the point that they didn't tell me or offer to replace them. After I got the new grips as I was installing I discovered that they had poured some kind of liquid under the grips on the frame of the gun. I'm not sure what the liquid was but it dried very hard and required soaki... read more
I have been to hundreds of gun shops in my lifetime, and all of them in northen Nevada, and this one is the most informative, most honest, most helpful and most expert. By a mile. I have personally vetted the backgrounds of the owner and most of the guys working there: rock solid military, special forces, and law enforcement guys who care about quality, safety, and the community. Please visit this shop. Best teaching and simulation training on the West.
this place looks cool, but the staff is arrogant and the prices arent that great. decent selection of guns, but nothing too special. We've been in twice and not impressed either time (with the prices or the staff). The style of the store is cool, reminds me of a mini hunting lodge. Employees sometimes wore ridiculous security guard 'official looking' uniform shirts, which kinda goes along with the arrogant attitude.... its like they are trying to be something they arent, but dont know what they want to be.
The staff is extremely knowledgable and are all combat veterans or prior police officers. You can pick up and play with anything you'd like, and even grab some coffee or popcorn while you're there. A must-visit for anyone looking for a gun or tactical gear.
