The first Macado’s restaurant was opened in 1978 by Richard Macher in downtown Roanoke, Virginia. It soon became popular for its eclectic ambiance of cartoon, antique, and local nostalgic decor, as well as its wide array of hearty yet modestly-priced sandwiches, subs, and entrees. All the food here is delicious. Been going to Macados for many years. Had the Brownie w Fudge and Ice Cream. It was to die for
From 37 years of trucking and dining in over 30,000 restaurants, Macado's provides a Menu, mostly Sandwiches that, on your first visit, maybe even on subsequent visits, you will have to take some time to explore. When you finally select one, even cut into two, it'll be stacked with all it's goodies. You'll probably have to use both hands to hold it for that first bite! The layout of seating is not open, so you must be led to available seating. But you'll be comfortable and well fed!
