The first Macado’s restaurant was opened in 1978 by Richard Macher in downtown Roanoke, Virginia. It soon became popular for its eclectic ambiance of cartoon, antique, and local nostalgic decor, as well as its wide array of hearty yet modestly-priced sandwiches, subs, and entrees. Very big menu food is just a 3 star
I’ve always been a huge fan of Macado’s/ Spanky’s, my mom started taking me when I was 8-9 years old and I’ve loved them since! Very clean restaurant, with a laid back and relaxed atmosphere.
Terrible service. Worst place to eat in Kingsport. Online order and get home to find half the food isn't there. Called and pretty much got told it wasn't their problem.
Waited to be seated for 20 minutes while the blonde girl working ignored us. She looked at us multiple times as well. Not coming back
