Do not rent from Mac. If I could give them zero stars I would. They are not responsive when it comes to emergencies. Our bathroom ceiling collapsed and no one came to look at it for a week and then 'fixed' it with a piece of cardboard painted over. That's their answer to most problems, paint it over and say it's fixed. They have AI answering phone calls and do not make any notes. On the day of a scheduled appointment, they called me and rescheduled the appointment for four hours later. Then no one showed up to the appointment.
Their new app, launched april 27th, 2026 refused to verify my bank account that ive been using to pay rent for this same unit the last 12 months. Then, when manually entering, the app is so glitchy that it doesnt adjust to my screen size so I literally cannot hit the confirm button. When I called to get help, all you get is their brand new AI Riley that cannot help with anything. Absolute scam of "property management".
I am a current resident and wanted to share my recent experience with the leasing office. Over the past month, I’ve been trying to get information about transferring to a 2 bed / 2 bath unit within the building. While I initially received a phone call, there has been no meaningful follow-up, and communication has been inconsistent (missed messages and unclear responses). Mac's horrible reputation is well-deserved. Living here has been a miserable experience. The massive cockroach on move-in day was just the beginning. When I moved in, the plumbing was leaking into the apartment below and maintenance broke in, unannounced in the middle of the night to address the leak. They didn't fix it so my water was shut off again, mid-shower, while getting ready for my first day at a new job. I don't have packages delivered to my apartment because so many have been stolen.
