Update 12/31/25- looks like we are headed Into the new year with this nonsense! MANAGEMENT IS IGNORING ME. THEY WONT ANSWER MY EMAILS OR RETURN CALLS. Mac recently bought out my building, and I have been very displeased with the new management. They charged my account $50 over my rent, with no itemized list for what I was being charged for. I contacted them multiple times with no response. Only option was to pay through the app which crashed during my rent payment. Very disappointed that I no longer have my original rental company.
I’ve rented from Mac for 6 months now and have never experienced such unprofessionalism in my entire life. Aside from the leasing process with Jennifer, every single person I’ve spoken to/interacted with has been terrible. Maintenance is incompetent. They have no etiquette whatsoever, let alone any professional training. I called to address my concerns and was quite literally told by the man on the phone that “they don’t focus on professionalism, they just want to go in and do their job.” They’re ridiculous. Great customer service from Ruth Hamilton at City Hyde Park. I had questions regarding our lease renewal and she provided outstanding support in making sure I had answers. This is the type of support you need when renting an apartment. We need staff who’s willing to go the extra mile to help us. I really appreciate her being on site too. I have called customer service and have looked for the property manager before and no one has been around to help.
