I brought my macbook pro in to MBS because the system is running very slowly. As an Apple certified care center, I assumed that MBS would honor the Applecare warranty. Instead, they charged $40 for labor and diagnostics and did not identify a problem with the system (which is still running slowly). When I asked about the charge, the manager came out with a red face and became defensive--saying that Applecare does not cover software or diagnostic testing.
