Excellent
I was visiting family from out of town when I became very ill. Dr. Zevallos was referred to me and she performed tests on me at St Dominic. She was so very kind and compassionate and able to explain to me my diagnosis, for which I’ll receive follow up care from my GI doctor upon returning to North Carolina.
Maybe Dr. Zevallos was having a bad day when she saw us, but the emotional hurt she inflicted deserves to be recognized. When dealing with a suffering and terrified patient the best course of action is NOT to tell them nothing is wrong and no one will be able to help us. Dismissive, insensitive, and woefully inadequate compared to her generally excellent partners at GI associates. Obviously a Dr. who no longer recognizes patients as human beings. Made my wife cry for no justifiable reason.
Dr. Zevallos is very professional, discusses her plan of care for the issue you are having, has several options, suggest what she thinks is best. Very pleasant and personable.
Dr. Zevallos is a great Gastroenterologist very thorough in her with explaining your diagnosis, happy to answer questions. Makes you feel comfortable about discussing your issues, actually listen to you.
Mabel is very attentive and answers all questions in a pleasant professional manner.A great doctor with excellent patient/doctor skills ,she explains all procedures and problems with care and attention to detail I would recommend her to many patients
Dr. Zevallos was very professional and knowledgeable. She took a detailed history and explained well all the treatment options. I would definitely recommend her.
