Have a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville (Black) with 'sunburn damage' after years of the Florida sun. Also had some minor vinyl bumper issues. Took the car in to Maaco and the did a great job making the car look near new. For the price I paid, I couldn't have been happier. Really good job (not perfect) for a low mileage car, everyone turns their heads to look. Wow. What a difference. Kevin at Hollywood Maaco was courteous and very professional during my first visit at Maaco. He walked outside to check out my vehicle, a Toyota Echo that had numerous dents and scratches from living several years in Manhattan in a neighborhood were cars squeeze in between one another to find a spot, people double park, bang the daylights of other people's doors, you name it. This place customer service skills is atrocious. First when I called and asked about pricing for getting my car getting painted they told me that they have a special staring at $249. So hearing that I made my mom take my car in for me since I had to work. My mom called me with a quote of over $600, I told her that I didn't want to spend that much so they brought it down to $550. I turned my car in on a Tuesday and they told me that it would be ready by Friday. Friday comes and no call so I called them and they told me it was... read more
If you want an inexpensive paint job, Maaco is OK. Just don't expect it to be a great job. For the money they do OK but there are runs, sags and blemishes. Also had to take the car back to repaint a damaged spot that apparently occured after the paint booth. They also did some damage to the trim, which they could not fix and forgot to re-attach emblems.
