I bought a car recently painted by Spring Maaco. I’d give it zero stars. Birds eyes pops all over the hood and fenders. I called and spoke with the manager and he said I wasn’t the original customer from a few months ago, so he wouldn’t make it good. I take every opportunity to people at the cars shows we go to, not to use Spring Maaco.
Better get Maaco, NOT NOW, NOT EVER 10 days later and they still have my SUV. I bought it in for a full paint job (no body work needed) on August 30. It was supposed to be ready September 7. I call to confirm that I would be able to pick it up by 5:00 that day. I leave work early to get there by 5:00 and it wasn't finished. Explanation: it just came out of the paint booth, I ask to see it, they show me from the window, I enter the paint booth and see my SUV looking like someone threw sand on it and painted it, true story. Employees were rude. Drove vehicle around before painting. And smoked in vehicle. Overall unprofessionalism. Painted vehicle incorrect color after it was made clear what color vehicle should be. Vehicle had to stay an additional 6 days for a total of 11 days without my vehicle. Was offered 0 discounts or compensation for painting my vehicle incorrectly and having it an extended period of time. Still paid full price. We went in last week for an estimate and were told by the woman working that if we did all the prep work (my husband used to work autobody) that we could bring our car in and they would get it in right away to be painted. We spent a few days prepping the car and brought it back today. The guy working told us it would be a few weeks. My car is 15 years old with 157,000 miles on it. I did not want to buy a new car but the clear coat and paint was wearing off in several areas and it looked terrible. Someone recommended Maaco in Mooresville so I went to see Jason. He gave me a very reasonable quote to repaint the hood, roof and trunk so I asked what it would cost to paint the whole car.
