I have been a uion floor covered lu 2168. Last month I submitted retirement papers !! I suggest a you person( man or woman) if your thinking if a trade carpenter all the way to a floor covered. Please go to 750 Dorchester street Dorchester ma. Great pay great benefits . Do the apprentice program .they will teach you your chosen trade while earning good money.
If only I'd known about the union when I was 1st leaving High School. Only 6 years ago I took the leap and NEVER looked back!! At 1st when I was told about ALL the Union has to offer I thought NO WAY!..too good to be true...and usually IS..lol, but this was undoubtedly the best move I've ever made! I was a bit nervous leaving my job of 10 years with this company, but with no retirement and a pay rate not too far above minimum wage I had to think of my future...and there wasn't one there.
