We went in on for an early Friday dinner. The restaurant, was busy but not packed. The decor is basic, but interesting with reclaimed wood walls and simple fixtures. The oven draws focus to the rear of the restaurant where you can see the staff working to get everyone's orders out. Most importantly, the pizza was great. A solid example of wood fired pies, crisp with just a bit of leopard printing/scorching on the bottom. The standard on menu pizzas where well thought out and the flavors played well.
My wife and I each enjoyed our fried artichoke heart appetizer. Here house salad was fresh and delicious and my grilled caesar salad was fantastic. Wasn't sure if grilling the lettuce was a good thing, but it was very nice! We each had our own pizzas. She had the Margherita which was cooked to perfection. I went with the Dagwood with Pepperoni, Sausage and Jalapenos. Crusts on both were light with a nice, mild chew. Friendly service and delicious food! We love this neighborhood restaurant in East Hyde Park. Highly recommend the Fig and Pig pizza - arugula, balsamic, fig, and bacon. Extensive beer and wine list. The servers were very helpful with recommendations and accommodating to our toddler. We will definitely be back!
Went here for an early dinner on Saturday. It has a rustic look with wooden walls and furniture to compliment the wood-fired oven. The lights are in lanterns. Local craft brews on tap. Pizza is great. I liked the service.
