I took my car in with a check engine light. They did some diagnostics on it and figured out the problem. Gave me an estimate with a detailed description of the problem they found along with some preventative maintenance they figured they’d take care of while doing work to the engine. At first i was hesitant because the estimate was over what i could afford and was willing to pay. I took the estimate and tried comparing it to other car garages in the area, to no avail.
