I am a 74 year old woman who had developed a large incisional hernia as a result of two emergency surgeries for bowel obstruction. Needless to say recovery from these surgeries took a toll on my body as well as my psyche, and I did not want to undergo another long surgery. I chose Dr. Dawson because of the excellent reviews, so I am extremely disappointed with how my experience turned out. During the consultation, he was attentive, engaged, and seemed to understand the complexity of my surgical history. I left feeling hopeful, especially after he and his office told me that I would receive a detailed follow-up email and a telehealth discussion by the end of that week once he reviewed my imaging and prior surgical records. Dr. Dawson is fantastic, and I would recommend him to anyone without a second thought. Every step of the way was great - the ease of scheduling the first appointment, welcoming (and very helpful) staff, beautiful and clean office, his easy to understand explanations of whatever your issue might be and the procedure that will take place, the calm and confidence he instills on the day-of surgery, and his regular check-ins and close monitoring post-op. I could not speak more highly of Dr. Dawson. Not only did he do an incredible job, restoring my confidence and fixing so many things that were going on with me, but he is also the warmest person ever. He literally held my hand throughout every part of my experience and continues to be there for me whenever I have any questions or concerns. I could go on and on, but take my word for it, he is truly a one of a kind human being and doctor.
Doctor Dawson is clearly an excellent, caring and talented surgeon and his wonderful office staff is attentive and helpful! I am entirely grateful for his high degree of professionalism, mindfulness of my care and concerns, and delivery of an entirely positive experience. Thank you Dr. Dawson!
