Finding a good mechanic is a hard thing to do. Finding one that's honest as well is almost impossible. You'll find both in Mike, his son David and Dirk at M. Albert and Son Auto. My family has been coming here since we moved to Beacon over 15 years ago. We tried them based on the positive recommendations of our neighbors - we stayed because what they said was true. Was given a verbal estimate range for the cost and time for repairs. The repairs were $200 more than the highest estimate, and took an additional full day. The car was returned filthy (the window had clearly been left open) and nothing had been re-set after the battery was disconnected. The owner is incredibly rude (think Simon Cowell minus the wit). Would not return to this establishment if it happened to be the last place on Earth (which is a bit what the place looks like).
