If you want actual medical care, find another clinic. Both Goldfields clinics in Castlemaine are absolutely happy to treat you less than human and take your money while doing so.
Update: If you see a doctor and want to see that doctor again, make sure to ask them at that first appointment to put a note on your records to say you can do so, otherwise you may be cut off by the admin staff, who seem to base this decision on how booked up the doctor is, not anything the doctor has actually said about not taking new patients. There seems to be much confusion over whether certain doctors are taking new patients or not. Earlier this year I was given an appointment with one of the female doctors, only to find out afterwards that she wasn’t taking on new patients and that I couldn’t see her again. Oddly, she didn’t say anything about it during the appointment, nor did the reception staff say anything on the day. Upon being referred for urgent care/review after an ED visit yesterday, we were met an unsympathetic, dismissive and rude administrative worker in Diane, despite only having inquired politely about the appointment we were informed was made. Having worked in healthcare administration for years, I am sympathetic the pressures of the work, but no matter the demand it should never necessitate such ill temperament on part of the staff. Hugely disappointing.
