I recently had back surgery and a revision of a previous back surgery by Dr Fitzgerald. She was very compassionate and skilled. I am extremely pleased with the outcome of the surgery. Within 3 days after surgery I no longer needed any pain pills. For me this was like a miracle. I would recommend Dr Fitzgerald to anybody, I trust her judgment completely. I am very grateful and thankful she took care of me.
After looking at all these bad reviews I would not go to this doctor to have surgery ever. I have had 3 back surgeries in the 1990's with good doctors. A doctor that does not listen is the worst. I am searching for a doctor, and I think I would trust the brain surgeon to do surgery on me better than the back surgeons here. Banner needs to get some good neuro/ortho back surgeons in their group. Who ever is the chief of surgery at Banner needs to take a look at the reviews and hire some competent surgeons. She seemed to have little interest in what I was saying to her. She took 2 MRI's and basically said they were both read wrong and that I am am fine. Yes I have herniated discs in my neck but it is because I am old (she is older than me ) and not because of the car accident I was in. She couldn't tell me why I didn't have pain before the accident if these herniated discs have always been there. She than tells me to take a walk every day and I will be fine.
