This hospital is unbelievable. They cleared my FIL for discharge to be transferred to Lincoln hospital without him having a bowel movement. Once he was in Lincoln, he had one and had to be sent right back to Springfield because of the results. Mind you, the transport fee is the responsibility of the patient and is not covered by insurance. This hospital is more concerned about kicking patients out than investigating what brought them to the hospital to begin with. Well, were do start, with the experience that I have had with the memorial medical ER team in Springfield. I usually don't post things but I'm very disgusted on how I pain is managed. When you call the ambulance for 1 to go to the Hospitals ER- you explain what is going on and the ambulance driver says what do you think? Like I'm faking. You shouldn't of got me out of home. The only reason I’m giving it one star is there’s one Dr there that I like. The staff are rude and act like they look down upon you for literally just going to the er because your sick. They didn’t care that I just had open heart surgery and was in a significant amount of pain from coughing due to influenza a and upper respiratory infection they said we can give you Tylenol no kidding? Will not go here again. Was bleeding from a former 11 day old head wound so urgent care sent me here because they felt I needed a scan . After a 4 and 1/2 hour wait they bandaged me up and sent me home. No head scan, no nothing. That was Friday. It is Sunday and I am still bleeding. Seeing doctor tomorrow. Front desk was very rude. I will never come here again. Never.

Good place to Die!! Like I was told when I first moved here 35 years ago. Stay away from the hospital! Go somewhere else!

Wish I would have sent my husband to St. Johns. He arrived here and 90 minutes later they chose to do what would be the most beneficial financially for there institution other than what would be the best care for my husband. It is sad that it has come down to money other than patient care. Stay far away from this hospital.

I had another doctor at this office but they moved away. We have been seeing Doctor Deborah Jackson. She told me my daughter with Down syndrome was obese and needed to loose weight. She told me to put her on a diet. People Down syndrome have lower muscle tone and tend to struggle with their weight.she is 4’7” and 160 pounds. Also she has sleep apnea and they sent us to a place that doesn’t have smaller sized masks. We asked for a referral to go somewhere else and it never happened. I was earlier diagnosed with a broken bone this afternoon and told to pick up a shoe to wear while it heals at the front desk. They wouldn’t be there but the Express Care would be open. I picked up the shoe, took it home directly, tried it on but it was too small. I immediately returned to the Express Care, went in and told them it didn’t fit and was returning it.
