I became acquainted with Lyla Clayre’s work through my water closet while staying at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel on Bourbon Street in New Orleans on a recent trip (get an inside balcony room, look at the pool and not be bothered by street noise!). It was a charming print, full of life and color, and as I’m partial to watercolors, I knew I wanted a copy.
