I wish I could give zero stars. Shame on Airbnb for allowing companies like Luxury Beach Rentals to operate like this—nothing “luxury” here. No confirmation or check-in info by 2 PM for a 4 PM arrival; I had to call. Staff were polite but clueless, saying it was “cleaned” but not inspected and they don’t use Airbnb to communicate. First email was blank—no code, Wi-Fi, or instructions. Second call finally got a code. At 10 PM we arrived with no building info; even the front desk couldn’t help. I want to start by saying I reached out to this company and gave them the opportunity to make things right before posting this and they did not respond to any text or emails for a resolution. One week prior to our arrival we received an email from the company stating due to an ongoing construction project on the balconies, our balcony would not be available to use and they were offering a 20% discount to our stay for the inconvenience, would offer a full refund, or would try to move us to a different unit at another complex ... read more
We recently stayed at Southwind Condominiums, Unit 1201 in Myrtle Beach. There were a couple of positives most notably the beautiful ocean view and the large amount of space, which worked well for our family. Unfortunately, the condition of the unit really took away from the experience. The cleanliness was a major issue. The comforters were dirty, the floors clearly hadn’t been swept or mopped (our feet were black within minutes), and the vacuum provided didn’t even work. Never got the checking info at 4. Texted multiple times amd emailed no replies so.calleld and was able to get.the rep to send it but was about 4:25pm. Then when we realized we needed keg cards to use the garage amd get back in the building after 11. I started msg around. Msg back and forth no help. After 11 we could.not reenter the garage Also.had to.wait until someone left to get back in.
