Sad, dilapidated and dirty! Absolutely nothing luxurious about the boat apart from the price to hire. Nothing matched from the bedding to the cutlery, plates , cups and glasses. I’ve seen better coordinated charity shops.

We had a fantastic 5 nights and 6 six days aboard the Douglas Mawson. The Luxury Afloat staff were incredible, and the boat facilities were perfect for our party of 8. We found a couple of breathtaking places to moore, fish and take in all the glory of the Hawkesbury.

We never received any response or any compensation for the most uncomfortable houseboat we have ever rented. There were cockroaches everywhere, old and mismatched chairs that looked like they were picked up from roadside rubbish, and a non-working air conditioner. They kept promising they would look into it at the end of the season, but nothing ever happened. Overall, a very disappointing company. We will never book with them again.

Rented a cottage @ 11 Milson's Passage with some friends for three nights. House was well set out with all the comforts of home. Staff (specifically Keiren & Mel) were extremely helpful and overall, a great experience at a reasonable price. Only one downside (which is not of anyone's doing) is when trying to dock the boat in a strong westerly can be a bit of a challenge so be sure to bring fenders.

Everything was great until one of the engines broke down. Then it was scary. No help. No communication (radio was broken after being told to use it in an emergency) and when we returned, no one knew anything about it. I was so worried that if it was an emergency, we'd be stuffed. No refund or discount. Just a "so sorry". I'm taking my business elsewhere.
