Lux Lighting Design was the perfect choice for the Griffin Museum to update its interior and exterior lighting. Doreen Le May Madden was creative and receptive to our needs with her design, her team was easy to work with and we have a stunning result. When it came to renovating our bathroom I knew that (as with every room in our home) lighting would be very important. Some think I go overboard when it comes to lighting. I worked with Doreen remotely on my new construction. She was flexible and easy to communicate with. I had strong ideas of what I wanted and she brought my vision into fruition without any pressure to take a more conventional approach. I received clear construction documents that were suitable for permitting. All aspects of the process were met with quick resolve. It was an all around professional and positive experience. The lighting looks absolutely gorgeous.
I have worked with quite a few interior decorators, but Doreen is a class above anybody else I worked with. He lights are amazing, it all works together and she really listens and understands. She is aware of the latest technologies and proposes them as appropriate. Her ideas are original and out of the box - you really get a very unique design when working with her. She helped me design lighting for our renovation. She was decisive and quick. As a result, even though her hourly rate is fairly high, the price was still remarkably reasonable. I was worried she'd be too high-end for us; but no. I'd strongly recommend her even to middle-class customers like me.
