I became a patient back in 2024 with a Medicaid referral to see Roxanne. I’ve had no issues with her or the staff until recently when I messaged Roxanne’s medical assistant in the beginning of October and never heard back to this day. I ended up calling the office this morning and they told me that Roxanne is no longer working with them as of last week. That still doesn’t count for the other week or two that I was ignored. In the world of seeing a Dermo locally and soon is pretty unheard of these days. We've lived in Reno all our lives and our favorite Dermo got consumed by the only-available-via-this-particular plan. I know why they do so (painful pill when you e settled into a practice you like and can count on). Some are less scrupulous than others (not making enough, so decline that plan permanently). Their website schedule is extremely misleading says it accepted my insurance drove 2 hours and then they said didn’t accept it. They also aren’t taking new patients even though I was already scheduled. Mind you the waiting room was empty. Super awful experience I wish they were clear on that.
They told me they accepted those without insurance, and I told them ld pay for the appointment. They told me it was fine and made me an appointment. Today I went to my appointment, and they told me they didn't accept Medicaid or cash, and they didn't see me. It was a very bad experience, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone else because I wasted 2 hours going back and forth to the appointment that they didn't show me for.
