He performed a vitrectomy on my left eye to repair a large macular hole. Before the surgery, I could not see well enough with that eye to read or drive, and due to an earlier issue, my right eye is permanently dysfunctional. The results of the surgery have been far better than anticipated. The vision in my left eye has returned to near normal, and I am able to continue my writing career thanks to James Luu MD.

Just completed my vitrectomy in both eyes with Dr. James Luu. He is a fantastic, intelligent, thorough and compassionate doctor. One of the best I've met. Each visit was met with thorough explanations of the process and associated risks. On the day of the surgery he checked in to see how I was doing before the procedure.
