We brought my 22 mo old daughter to the emergency room with severe hives we believed were from a reaction to an antibiotic that she was taking to treat an ear infection (this was also believed to be a medication allergy by her GP and the NP we saw in urgent care). Saw Dr. Luttrell in the ER. Very disappointed in the care (or should I say lack of care) we received. Terrible bedside manner and not thorough or friendly. Had to ask what to do for symptoms and pain management. Had we not asked, not sure he would have prescribed the anti-nausea medication. Had ear pain and he never even looked in my ear even after I asked him about it. He should not be practicing medicine. He has no compassion or care for his patients.

If you are going to be working in a hospital setting you need empathy. Dr. Luttrell lacked even the slightest amount of kindness. I was in an accident where I sustained severe facial trauma. He yelled, and rushed me out of the ER , denied my request for an XRay or head scan and was extremely dismissive. Refused to give me a break when administering nerve shots of lidocaine in my mouth, told me “you are just delaying the inevitable”. Horrible bedside manner lacks any kindness or empathy. Dismissed all my questions/ concerns and refused to do tests I asked for because I am a young girl in college. Was diagnosed later at a separate ER with multiple fractures in my face. He put stitches in my mouth, which a separate doctor I went to said he did a horrible job and I will need revisions. Let me leave the ER with a bloody mouth, no pain meds, or even an ice pack and I was left overall traumatized. I am sure this doctor won’t care about any of the horrible revi... read more
