Very difficult to reach doctor offices. Staff do not know what insurance covers. Joyce Bell NP refused a telehealth appt. even though elderly patient has mobility issues. Insurance does cover telehealth.
They double bill for visits by coding items differently, hoping insurance and patient doesn't pick up on it. Their new phone system makes it impossible to talk to your doctors office staff. There is a reason why IU Heath is coming into area hot, Lutheran is running all patients away. To make matters worse, previous Dr. disappeared a couple of months back. I went to the emergency because I was having a severe headache with mild chest pain. As soon as they found out that I was on Medicaid the doctor dismissed my concerns as simply migraines and I would be okay. I was diagnosed with a meningioma tumor back in 2019. The doctor at the family practice on 750 broadway scheduled me for an MRI it was done at St. Joe hospital at the time. They found the meningioma.
