1/2 Dr. Luther was my Analyst for a number of years before moving away from New York. In regards for the posts questioning Dr. Luther's efficacy, understand that Dr Luther is not a mediocre Psychiatrist for she has also specialized in Neurology and Freudian analytical techniques. 2/2 As was stated, Dr. Luther's questions are few so do not expect her to be like most Psychiatrists who want to be involved in a patient's day to day life in a non-therapeutic manner; she knows methods in healing the mind that are deliberate and calculated while she is not unfeeling but serious like any accomplished professional should be. I contacted Dr. Luther because I didn't know where to turn for an acute issue causing emotional distress. She was hurried and abrupt on the phone. Nevertheless I made an appointment. While she seemed compassionate, she did not provide any guidance during my two sessions that was helpful. She was dismissive when I brought up the fact this may not be the right form of counseling.
