We have quite a few 70 year olds and about 4 or 5 over 100’s living in our senior independent homes. I moved in because my husband needed the special care unit. I stay busy volunteering during the day and playing games. We have sheepshead cards playing daily and early evening. We won’t get rich as our stakes are for pennies. I also play Mexico Train, 500, Hand n’ Foot, Spite & Malice, Up Words, Cribagge and more, the food is good. What more would anyone want?. Did I mention pool, golf, dartball, shuffleboard, ping pong? My mother in law is living here in the Courtyards assisted living area. The facility is clean and they take good care of her. However the food is TERRIBLE! I don’t understand how with all the money it costs to live there, they can’t feed the residents higher quality, better tasting food.

June 2017 Re: Truby Rehab. I'm not happy with this place but I like the other areas . This was from April 2017 It was great to see my mom. She is in rehab. It was not great to see the nurse grab her by the legs and swing her around on her bed to sit on the edge of the bed then to get up with her walker when she has a broken leg and is not suppose to put any weight on that side. It broke my heart when she screamed. Her Dr. said that there are gentler, easier ways to do that. I guess he will give them a call today. I do have t... read more
