Over 13 years ago, at the age of 28, I was rushed into emergency surgery for a ruptured diverticulitis. I don’t remember much from those critical hours, but I know this: the surgeon who stepped in didn’t give up on me. The great things said about Dr. Lutfiyya are an understatement. I had the privilege of being his patient for my total colectomy surgery April 2018. He is a no nonsense doctor but also kind, very caring with excellent bedside manners. He will push and push you after surgery to get going but he does it with care and the best of intentions. I've had the pleasure of being Dr. Lutfiya's patient for the past year after developing colon cancer. I was warned in advance by those in the medical community of just how good he is - but they were wrong. He is better. Not only is he an exceptional surgeon, but his personality and character are unmatched. I recommend him highly to anyone needing a surgeon.
