Disappointed. The culinary experience this restaurant promotes is overrated. We were there on the à la carte day. Bread was good. Halibut was dry and fishy . The foie gras was relatively good considering it had pork and was a mouse instead of terrine . The menu does not give the full description and the server ignored provided information about allergies.

Not 5 stars because we were celebrating my sister’s birthday and the restaurant made zero acknowledgment of it—no candle, no small dessert, no “happy birthday” written on a plate, nothing. For a high-end tasting menu ($145+), that level of hospitality is disappointing and makes it feel impersonal for a special occasion. This meal at Lune was properly top 3 best and most memorable meals I’ve ever had! Everything was so simple, yet so sophisticated and elevated. The dining room is casual, no white table cloths and it’s very open. They also have a somewhat open kitchen. We sat in the corner next to all the wine, a great seat! Our server was so nice and friendly, as was literally everyone who came to our table. It felt like eating at a friend or family’s house.
