10/10 kind and attentive staff One of the best sandwiches i’ve had in Chicago and support a great cause.
Had a twelve inch Italian style sandwich today. I balked a bit at the price, but some of the pics displayed absolutely loaded sandwiches. I got something more akin to a standard sub shop, maybe even lean by those standards. The fillings were pretty good. But the bread was atrocious. Dry and crumbly, not crunchy on the exterior. It wasn't stale in my estimation, just bad. It ruined the sandwich. I am giving three stars because it was mediocre overall, but the high price almost recommends a two star.
I can’t say enough good things about Lunch Heros. These are some of the best sandwiches I’ve had anywhere in Chicago, and I keep coming back. Every sandwich is clearly made with care. The ingredients taste fresh, everything is layered just right, and the portions are huge. You’ll leave full and probably with leftovers.
