Lumos used to be really good but for the past 2 months I've had extremely poor service. My connection is supposed to be 500 mbps up/down, but I've had between 5-25 mbps download at night. The service has become unusable and I can't even load pictures at night, let alone stream a video. I've been told there was supposed to be a fix by the end of January, but there is still no fix for this issue. I came home to find four large holes in my front yard from Lumos installing cable in our neighborhood. One hole cut large roots from my river birch tree which certainly could adversely effect the viability and stability of the tree. Zirrus previously put in internet fiber cable in our neighorhood. Zirrus had the decency to ask us for permission to do so and they put the cable in without destroying our yards and they didn't cut through large tree roots. I've had only positive things to say about Lumos. They answer the phone, they are prompt with installation, the tech guys know what they're talking about, etc. Great company, so much better than dealing with Comcast.
