I had Dr. Menishian put in my 4th porta-cath a few months ago. Prior to surgery I drew an outline on my chest, showing where NOT to place the port (away from my bra strap.) I also told him in our pre-op meeting but he put it right under my bra strap anyways. Additionally, I was in pain and severely swollen for 2 weeks which is not normal. The port has tilted, its at a 45° angle— and it’s new!! This is a simple procedure that I have had three other times.
