After spending an hour of my time get a complex MRI with contrast approved for payment, I was left to delay with a rude front desk employee at Lumina that made no effort whatsoever to help a acute patient get a pro surgical MRI. This is not the first time our practice has had this experience at Lumina. I’m taking them off my list of imaging centers until they clean up their act.

I'm 68 and on medicare. Lumina totally did the billing wrong with medicare, then started trying to collect the charge off me instead of resubmitting the bill to medicare. Medicare refused the bill because the doctor they used was not a medicare provider. Lumina did not inform me that they did not take medicare, so now they are threatening me with an 400 dollar bill. I heard great things about this place. I needed an MRA. Each time I talk to them on the phone. They acted as if I was bothering their day. In fact, they were very very inhospitable. I did everything they  Did ask. My doctor sent over the order and they waited three days and informed me that the order had to have the words with or without contrast instead of what it has.
