Very knowledgeable people working there. A great and fun experience
Can't say enough good things about Lumel. Everybody is extremely welcoming and willing to chat about the process of working with glass. They're extremely patient teachers, and are equally as happy to just have you just sit and watch them work. A must for a cold and or rainy day - the furnaces will warm you right up. They do lots to uplift the community, and will highlight other local places to visit if asked.
We had a 30 minutes workshop (for 2 ) booked. We had fun making the glass work. Our contribution to the piece is definitely smaller than we expected, but it was still great. The two instructors are friendly and informative. They did most of the work in making our pieces (like the actual blowing of the glass). Glad that we did this on a cooler summer day, because the ovens were very hot.
Lu was a fantastic teacher and gave us an amazing first time experience glass blowing! We went in on Labour Day and she graciously spent more time with us than the duration of a regular beginner class. Thank you Lu and Mel for an amazing experience!
