This public owned company has the worst customer service. Worst IOS app functionality. In 2026 you would think they could buy an app that could update account info and allow you to delete an old payment method, add or edit personal info but I guess that's too much to ask. At least they could shoot you an email or text if a card was not active or declined so you could fix a problem instead of disconnecting service for a $100 worth of reconnect charges. Greediest electric company. Left me with no power for days and not due to any payment issues! They charge after THEY turned it off for "safety concerns" to turn it back on.
Left me with no power in the cold for days along with my 3 month old baby and my 4 dogs. It's been 4 days!
It’s stupid you have to pay just to get your services transferred from one address to another! I NEVER had to pay with PWC or DUKE ENERGY!
Welcome to Lumbee River.. a monopoly where you lose power every week but can't do a thing about it except pay up! Month after original review: I lost power last Friday for multiple hours, then again Sunday morning for multiple hours, now it's Wednesday and I must have sneezed too hard... power out again!
