This was a great place to eat outside and enjoy the view (also very dog friendly as they brought out a water bowl for the dog at the table next to us). We had a lobster roll and found the lobster to be tender with good flavor. The bread on the lobster roll fell apart, so it became very messy while eating. Stopped by Luke’s Lobster Portland Pier and it definitely lived up to the hype. The lobster roll was fresh, flavorful, and packed with meat, and the crab roll was just as good—light, buttery, and really well done. The location right on the pier adds to the experience, with great views while you eat. It can get busy, but the food comes out quick and is absolutely worth it. I very much wanted to enjoy the food we ordered to go and had been looking forward to it for weeks. It’s likely that because it was so busy, not enough attention was given to the details of our order. The haddock was listed as coming with the slaw and salad and it came with mashed potatoes instead. Ocean view fresh seafood experience. Fried Scallops were fresh and in season. Crab and lobsters were also a hit.
